Tēnā koe,
I'm Mase Herbert, a second-year journalism student at the New Zealand Broadcasting School. I have a deep passion for politics and culture and im lucky enough to have these areas as my rounds. I also get to cover the beautiful Waimakariri as my district board.
Originally from Manchester in the UK, I moved to Timaru as a teenager. Journalism allows me to connect with people and give a voice to those who may not have one. It's about relaying important information to diverse communities and keeping everyone in the loop on both local and global topics.
I'm passionate about staying up-to-date on the latest news, whether it's political shifts, cultural trends, or major world events. At the heart of it all, I believe in the power of storytelling to inform, empower, and inspire change.
